This is the last post in our Easter Gift Basket Series, the fourth of four. If you haven’t already done so, read Part 1 here, Part 2 here and Part 3 here. Today I will show you how to make the gorgeous little felted Easter Eggs. I have left the cutest, easiest and just all round best craft till last. I absolutely love these little Eggs! I could make them all day long!!!!! I could also go on about how much I love them but I’ll spare you that 4 hour read and just get straight to the tutorial shall I? (more…)
Easter is getting closer and this week is the second part of four to the Easter Gift Basket. The last two posts will be published over the next few days, so that you still have plenty of time to make them before Easter. Last week I gave you a list of all the supplies, tools and equipment you will need to make this. I would highly recommend reading through last weeks post and through all of the below instructions first before starting. (more…)
We recently moved office at work and the new building has a lovely fresh feeling to it. There is lots of light, both natural and artificial and the walls are all panted in a very crisp fresh white with a fresh lime green as an accent colour. A few of the staff have indoor potted plants growing at their workstations, which add to the lovely feel of the space. I really wanted to have a plant of my own but there was one serious flaw in the idea, I kill plants! It’s not like I try to kill them or that I only kill sensitive plants, I genuinely kill any plant I look after! I was determined not to let this small flaw, ruin my plan and decided to think a little creatively. If I can’t keep live plants then artificial plants would have to do! I didn’t want to just get a plastic plant, I wanted something a little more lively, something with a little more soul. So, I thought I would make myself some flowers. I have the perfect blank wall next to my desk to display something sweet! (more…)
Last week, I wrote about New Year’s Resolutions and shared with you some of my more crafty/creative ones and how I was planning on keeping on track with them this year. I mentioned that I also had a selection of personal resolutions, there is one in particular that I have put a lot of thought into and wanted to share with you; Savoring the positive memories of 2015 to assist in being a more positive person and to help me really live in the moment. I thought that this might not be a resolution that not only I had, perhaps my tools to help me do this might help you too.
The start of the New Year brings with it New Year Resolutions. That list of things that we should have done last year, or the year before that, or the one before that… Year after year, the lists seems to be the same, except for a few additions. In the past I, like many others, made resolutions and given up on upholding them as resolutions before the end of January. Mine are usually rather generic; Look after myself better, lose weight and be a kinder person. All very vague and lack any real thought or effort. This year, I’ll be doing something a little different. I am going to stay on track with a New Year Resolution Planner. I have put one together and I have shared it below for you for FREE.
I hope you and your loved ones had a fantastic Christmas yesterday. I have been melting in the Queensland, Australian heat! I sure was dreaming of a white Christmas. But alas Santa didn’t make it snow in Brisbane this year 🙁
There isn’t much time after Christmas for recovering before New Years Eve rolls around. If you are hosting a New Years Eve party you only have a few days to take down all the Christmas decorations and dress the house in glitz and glam already to welcome in the New Year. Today I will show you a really easy and simple craft perfect for your New Years Eve celebrations.
It is literately only days until Christmas. Six to be exact. That means that you have six days to get those last minute gifts, finish the decorating and six whole days to do Christmas crafts 🙂
I have been keeping an eye out for some really quick and easy crafts that you can do as last minute Christmas gifts or decorations. Here are my favorite 12, that is 2 per day 🙂
A couple of weeks ago I shared with you my about my experience in paper crafts and my first card making party with Kaszazz. I received my Kaszazz order of Christmas card making supplies and I got stuck right in to making my cards and tags. I promised you that I would show you some of the Christmas card ideas that I came up with and just because you are so awesome, I am sharing them with you.
“Christmas time is here
Happiness and cheer
Fun for all that children call
Their favourite time of the year…”
The stores have had Christmas decorations out for months and the Christmas carols have been playing in the malls for weeks. It is all pointing to the tell tale sign that Christmas is just a few short weeks away! To be honest with you I couldn’t be happier, I LOVE Christmas!!! I just love spending time with family, feasting on all the yummy food and giving gifts to my loved ones. I love giving gifts to loved ones so much so, that I am usually already finished by the end of October and there is nothing left for me to do for weeks; fyi that is a bad thing, I like preparing for Christmas. Although, I do have a rule that in our house decorations don’t go up until the 1st of December. It is SO hard to wait until then, I am such a child. This year however, I broke that rule. I know, how naughty of me. Tisk, tisk, tisk! But, it was for a great reason! For the past few years, I have wanted to make a Christmas wreath. This year I finally got around to making one, thanks to you; well, I needed something for you to read. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. I literally stood at the door for at least a full 5 mins looking at it, just marvelling at how well it turned out! There was just no way that this masterpiece wasn’t going up as soon as it was finished!
In the past, I had lightly dabbled in paper crafts such as scrapbooking and card making. I had once attempted a horrible excuse of a scrapbook. It was so bad that just the shear memory of it makes me shudder in shame! I have had a lot more success with card making; some of them were quite great (if I do say so myself) and some of them not so much, although I don’t think any of them were as bad as the scrapbook. Argh, that scrapbook.
