I love Christmas! I love giving gifts and seeing the joy on my family and friends faces when they receive something that I picked out especially for them! However, there is NOTHING that compares to the feeling that I get when the gift that I have given them and that they LOVE so much is something that I made especially for them! (more…)

I know I said it over and over again in the last post Easter Gift Basket – Part 4, but I just have to say it again, a few more times. I love the adorable little felted eggs I made for my Easter Gift Basket. They are just so freaking cute! I love them so much that I don’t think they should just sit around or worse be packed away only to come out next Easter. These little cuties need to be shown off, loved, admired and utilised. I have created three different crafts that showcase these cute little eggs. So that would make it, Felted eggs 3 ways! How eggciting! (I bet you were starting to miss egg puns, given that Easter was a couple of weeks ago!) (more…)
This is the last post in our Easter Gift Basket Series, the fourth of four. If you haven’t already done so, read Part 1 here, Part 2 here and Part 3 here. Today I will show you how to make the gorgeous little felted Easter Eggs. I have left the cutest, easiest and just all round best craft till last. I absolutely love these little Eggs! I could make them all day long!!!!! I could also go on about how much I love them but I’ll spare you that 4 hour read and just get straight to the tutorial shall I? (more…)
Welcome back to the 3rd post in the Easter Gift Basket series. If you havn’t read through Easter Gift Basket Part 1 and Part 2 take a read now… it’s OK, I’ll wait… Have you read them? Are you sure?? Ok, let’s keep going. This post walks you through how to make the Easter String Eggs. These were fun to make, very messy (in a fun way) and a little tricky but so worth it, they are so cute. (more…)
Easter is getting closer and this week is the second part of four to the Easter Gift Basket. The last two posts will be published over the next few days, so that you still have plenty of time to make them before Easter. Last week I gave you a list of all the supplies, tools and equipment you will need to make this. I would highly recommend reading through last weeks post and through all of the below instructions first before starting. (more…)
It is not long till Easter, only a few short weeks away. Soon the Easter bunny will be hopping around hiding chocolate Easter eggs for all the little boys and girls to hunt for. Or more accurately, mums and dads will be buying up big on the chocolate eggs and doing up Easter baskets for the kids to take to school to give their friends and teachers. Then mum and dad play Easter bunny and hide a mountain of eggs for the traditional Easter egg hunt.
Easter is one holiday that I don’t really celebrate; I really don’t need an excuse to eat chocolate, I already consume far too much of it as it is! I do however really like how Easter themed things are generally very cute. How could I not do a super cute Easter craft for you guys 🙂 (more…)
Last week I made a bookmark for a friend’s birthday and I liked it so much that I thought I would make one for myself. I alerted the design a bit, drawing inspiration from my beautiful collection of High Tea cookbooks. This bookmark was even quicker and easier than last week’s one! (more…)
One of the lovely ladies that I work with had a birthday the other day and didn’t give us any warning! I love making things for people’s birthdays and would have loved to have been prepared and made a lovely gift for Mrs S. Given that she withheld her birthday from me, I figured I could be a day late on the card and gift, so that night I made her a simple little gift. Mrs S loves Jane Austen novels. She was getting the hardcover book set of all the Jane Austen books for her Birthday. I thought a bookmark was quite fitting.
